Red Carpet Looks from Major Events
What did the celebrities wear to the Oscars or the Golden Globes. Okay, you might not be able to go to those events, but here's a review of the stylish, the beautiful, the outlandish.... I always love to see what the stars are wearing, and maybe I'll get an idea for something to wear to a gala. And as your humble health and beauty expert, of course I have an opinion! Academy Awards
Edie's "best dressed" for the 2020 Academy Awards: Brie Larson was fabulous in this shimmery gold gown, evocative of Hollywood in the heyday of film. The cape was the perfect length and really the perfect accent, and Brie's hairstyle and makeup carried the "Golden Age" through to perfection.
Golden Globes
Edie's "best dressed" for the 2020 Golden Globes: Scarlett Johansson always delights and 2020 was no exception, with this strapless Vera Wang gown. I love the flowy train, and the plunging neckline!
BAFTA's
Edie's "best dressed" for the 2020 BAFTA's: The Duchess of Cambridge brought out a beautiful Alexander McQueen gown from her archive (yes, vintage) with gold hibiscus flowers embroidered on a creamy white fabric, featuring an empire waist, and a full flowing skirt.
Grammy Awards
Edie's "best dressed" for the 2020 Grammys: I love the simple styling of Dua Lipa's two-piece white satin ensemble. The cami top actually has adjustable straps (as if it wasn't custom design from Vivenne Westwood for this single event).
Tony Awards
Edie's "best dressed" for the 2019 Tony Awards: Christian Siriano created this bejeweled midnight black gown for Laura Linney. I love the long sleeves with single shoulder coverage.
Met Gala
Edie's "best dressed" for the Met Gala: Zendaya went full Cinderella with this shimmery gown. The puffy sleeves and corset-like top evoke the era.
Emmy Awards
